Orbs – Agentic Execution for DeFi
Orbs Agentic, Layer-3 routing, advanced DeFi orders, and community-led governance
Autonomous agents can read markets, generate strategies, and decide when to trade. The harder part is routing orders, checking slippage, handling failed transactions, and making sure failsafes are in place.
Most DeFi infrastructure was built for human users. Retrofitting it for agents means simulating browser interactions, which breaks easily and gives the agent unilateral control over what gets sent onchain with no independent check. With the introduction of Orbs Agentic, autonomous agents can now execute advanced onchain trades without custodial risk.
In this edition, we look at what Orbs has built, how Orbs Agentic works, and the Orbs DAO rollout.
What Orbs Has Been Building
Orbs is a Layer-3 network for advanced onchain trading. In plain English, that means it does not try to replace Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, or other base networks. It handles the order types and automation those chains cannot run natively inside a smart contract. Its suite of products include:
dLIMIT for limit orders
dTWAP for splitting trades over time
Liquidity Hub for crosschain liquidity routing
Perpetual Hub for onchain perpetuals
dSLTP for stop-loss and take-profit orders
Together, these have processed over $3B in cumulative volume, generated $3M+ in protocol revenue, and run across 25+ DEX integrations secured by 1B+ staked ORBS tokens.
Orbs Agentic is an infrastructure layer between AI agents and DeFi protocols. When an agent needs to execute a swap, place a limit order, run a TWAP strategy, or set a stop-loss, it calls an Orbs Agentic tool. Orbs handles routing, execution logic, and cosigned oracle verification before the trade proceeds.
The agent proposes the trade parameters, while the oracle independently checks conditions such as reference price, slippage bounds, trigger conditions, and execution route before cosigning. That creates a split between strategy and execution verification where the agent decides what it wants to do, while Orbs checks whether the action fits the defined constraints.
Live Deployments
Phase 1 of Agentic is live as a proof of concept, with agents able to execute swaps and conditional orders through Orbs’ current execution model. Integrations are being published across agent frameworks and standards, including LangChain, MCP, OpenAI GPT Actions, CrewAI, and Eliza.
Perpetual Hub is Orbs’ infrastructure for onchain perpetual futures trading. It is a fully integrated perps protocol built with Symm.io, giving DEXs the ability to route liquidity from onchain and offchain sources, including centralized exchanges like Binance. This has been integrated by Atlantis DEX on Monad and Gryps on Sei, giving both venues access to hedging, liquidation, oracle, and liquidity-routing services for perps markets.
Orbs’ advanced order stack has also been integrated b Thena and SpookySwap (dSLTP).
The Orbs DAO Rollout
Orbs DAO is the governance layer for the Orbs network. It gives ORBS holders a formal role in deciding how protocol-level resources are managed, including net fees from Orbs’ Layer-3 products, token economics, network upgrades, Guardian oversight, and ecosystem grants.
Decisions around Orbs’ execution stack move into a more defined governance process. Revenue from products such as dTWAP, dLIMIT, Liquidity Hub, Perpetual Hub, Orbs Agentic, and future protocols can be directed by the DAO.
Orbs is rolling this out through a seasonal governance model. Each season sets a defined window for governance priorities, such as whether fees should go toward burns, staking rewards, liquidity deployment, treasury reserves, or grants. The first votes focus on establishing the DAO and setting the tokenomics framework for Season 1.
Conclusion
The core idea behind Orbs Agentic is that AI agents are moving from recommending trades to executing them. For that to work, agents need execution rails that can route trades, enforce price conditions, manage order types, and verify parameters before anything is sent onchain.
Orbs'‘ infrastructure has already processed $3B+ in cumulative volume, supported 25+ DEX integrations, and included live Perpetual Hub deployments on Monad and Sei. Orbs Agentic extends that stack to agents, with integrations indexed across the Anthropic MCP Registry, Awesome MCP Servers, ClawHub, and LobeHub.
The next thing to watch is whether agent frameworks start reporting production execution volume through Orbs. Integrations show developer access. Live volume from named agents would show the category moving from agent tooling to agent-driven DeFi execution.
